In summer time, I tend to be an early riser. Here's a fun fact the late sleepers don't realize - it is sunny most mornings when the sun first rises and then the clouds roll in. So the lesson here - get up at the crack of dawn and you can see sunshine most days.
So I get the Sunday paper and I try to read the whole thing because you never know what kind of trivia you will find hidden 5 pages in. One part I always look at is the obituaries. I want to make sure that no one I know died, or be able to send a card if a relative of someone I know died. Every once in a while I come across one that makes me say, please, don't ever write that in mine. One I read this morning talked about a woman being survived by her 2 cats and they were mentioned by name. I mean, I know that pets are important to people, but that just seemed a little sad to me.
On a lighter note, I love the story on the news this weekend about the 2 drunk kids stealing a 20 foot maple tree. It goes on to tell about how the police followed a trail of dirt to their living and that the 2 tried to replant the tree with a snow shovel and that they had a cooler of beer. Go figure.
