Monday, June 28th

I am pleased to report that Lester is still alive.

For those of you not paying attention, Lester is a beta fish.  The first fish I have ever been charged with caring for to be precise and when I got him, I was a little uncertain if I was going to be able to care for him.

Here is what I have learned about caring for a cheap fish in the last few months:
-Even though they tell you that you can't give the fish all clean water at once, it hasn't killed him yet
- Also, I was surprised to discover that he was trainable.  When I get up in the morning, I turn on the dining room light, and I feed him.  Well, now every time the light comes on, he comes up to the feeding spot.  Either he's looking for food, or hoping that time, it's not me waking up, but the actual bright light that will take him to the big fish pond in the sky.

I can't tell if he's grown at all, I mean, I suppose I should have measured him when I got him so that I could answer these kind of questions in the future, but let's be perfectly honest, I never expected him to live this long.  I guess stranger things have happened.

Anyone want a fish?
