Just in case you missed the news flash, here's a fun tidbit. Just because you had mono once, it doesn't mean you can't have it again. I know this because I have it again. The last time I got it was about 6 weeks after my dad got Lymphoma, go figure..... The good news is, the way I figure it, I've had it since the last week of April, so I've got to be almost better, right??
So last night I was watching Dirty Dancing for the 842nd time and I started to think. You know at the end when Johnie comes back and says "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" and then they have their fancy dance and are all smiles, what happens after that?? I mean, we all cheer because Johnie comes back, but in reality, won't he just have to leave again? Will the laborer/"private dancer, dancer for money" actually go home with Baby and be her "man"? and What about Mount Holy Oak in the fall, I mean, she can't drag her 20 something boyfriend along with her to the dorms to study the economics of undeveloped third world countries? I mean, I know it makes for a great story, but it wouldn't it have been a little for Baby if Johnie wouldn't have come back? Now what??
